Bio:

Danielle Field is the director of the Student Professional Readiness Series (SPuRS) at Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business.

Field developed, designed and continues to implement and assess the program as a whole. She is responsible for ensuring that all undergraduate business students engage with SPuRS programming on a regular basis to develop the career readiness skill desired by employers.

Teaching students to advocate for their career and self-development beyond the classroom, focused in the areas of communication, critical thinking, professionalism, leadership, teamwork, technology, and equity and inclusion is the priority and purpose of SPuRS.

Field regularly conducts audits to ensure student compliance with the program requirements, meets with students to create personalized completion plans, designs innovative escape rooms to inspire creative thinking and teamwork and implements SPuRS approved programming. In addition, she teaches a required capstone business course that all business students take in their final undergraduate semester entitled Business Professionalism. Field also leads an advisory board consisting of employer representatives, faculty, staff and alumni.

Field is certified to administer and interpret the Gallup Strengths Assessment and she completed the Global Career Development Facilitator Certification and has a Certified Career Services Provider credential.
