Bio:

Dr. Li Xiang is a faculty specialist of Chinese in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at Western Michigan University.

Xiang earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University, Oregon, with a focus on Chinese language teaching.

She has been teaching Chinese at Lewis and Clark College, the Business School at Portland State University, and Lincoln High School in Portland. She also worked as a Chinese program assistant for Office of International Affairs at Portland State University. Dr. Xiang’s publications include textbooks, book chapters, journal articles, dictionaries, etc. Her research interests include Chinese language pedagogy, curriculum design, and Chinese language teachers’ professional development.
