Bio:

Prior to coming to Western Michigan University, Kathryn Wagner taught at Southern Illinois University and Oakland University (Rochester, Mich.). She has designed for Farmers Alley Theatre, Hope Summer Rep, The Peninsula Players, University of Illinois Summerfest, McLeod Summer Playhouse, Meadow Brook Theatre (Rochester, Michigan) and Sullivan’s Little Theater on the Square. While working as a freelance designer in the New York City area, Wagner designed for a variety of companies including the, AMAS Musical Theatre, New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, McCarter Theatre, The American Drama Group/Europe and the Lamb’s Theatre Company. In addition, she worked extensively for The North American Bear Company creating several bears for production and creating their Muffy Mascot Costumes and Mulder/Martin Inc., where she was involved in the making of many corporate and sports mascots, puppet characters and a variety of walking corporate logos.

Kathryn is a member of USITT and United Scenic Artists, Local 829.
